Every warehouse has its unique operations and those are often complicated. Rapyuta ASRS is the best solution that fits or improves your operations to meet your requirements.
If you already have a WMS or a custom system in place, we will integrate it with the WMS included with Rapyuta ASRS. Simultaneously, we will register master data, including images of each product, into the WMS to prepare for operation.
With Rapyuta ASRS’s WMS, you can effortlessly manage all ASRS-related operations through an intuitive user interface. This includes item information imported via CSV or registered manually, order details, and inventory status.
While many material handling robots have omni wheels, Rapyuta ASRS robots have mecanum (omnidirectional tireless) wheels that don’t need to stop when changing direction. This is also one of the key essences of the ASRS productivity.
Operating Rapyuta ASRS on-site is intuitive and straightforward, too. The handheld terminal’s user interface is very simple, ensuring that you can start tasks without any confusion. Just scan the barcodes of items, bins, or stations, and tap the button for the desired task.
The process of stowing items in the Rapyuta ASRS is similar to traditional racked storage. Items sorted for ASRS storage are transferred to designated bins. Typically, stowing operations are scheduled, and workers are gathered to complete the task as efficiently as possible.
Scanning barcodes is essential for linking the actual inventory counts of items with the information in the WMS. By scanning not only the item barcodes but also the corresponding bin and ASRS location information, the system receives feedback, ensuring that the WMS is always up to date.
During picking operations, it’s common not only to pick the target items but also to perform primary inspections by visually checking the items and conducting ledger operations simultaneously. At Rapyuta ASRS’s picking stations, you can build flexible workflows tailored to these on-site operations. Our unique design allows you to work with up to eight bins simultaneously, achieving high productivity.
At the Rapyuta ASRS picking station, you can see the image and quantity of the items to be picked, which bin to pick from, and which bin to transfer to, as well as the current productivity in LPMH ( Lines Per Man Hour). These visual guides eliminate the need for workers to repeatedly check the picking list, allowing them to focus on speed and accuracy.
After drop-off from the ASRS, the process continues with secondary inspections, value-added services, enclosing flyers, packing, and order consolidation. Leveraging its flexibility in layout, Rapyuta ASRS extends robot pathways to the downstream work areas, transporting drop-off bins like a conveyor system. Empty bins after packing are used as returnable containers.
Rapyuta ASRS supports sequential shipping as a standard feature. By providing temporary storage for shipping bins after picking, you can dispatch bins based on truck loading order and consolidation needs. This allows you to further streamline downstream operations without the need for additional investment in optional equipment.
Warehouse operations are driven by shipper or receiver-specific needs, such as ledgers and value-added services. With Rapyuta ASRS’s fully robot-oriented system, we can customize the software to meet your specific requirements. Unload freight from trucks and perform acceptance checks to ensure the deliveries match expectations. Rapyuta Robotics offers another solution with Rapyuta AFL, automated forklifts that efficiently unload and move pallets directly from trucks to the designated area.
Depending on the products handled, not all items are typically stored in the ASRS. After receiving items, they are sorted here into those to be stored in the ASRS and those that are not. This is also where ledger operations and barcode scanning may be performed.
Stowing operations are performed at the Rapyuta ASRS Stowing Stations. Items are placed into designated bins, and then the items, bins, and their locations are linked by scanning their barcodes.
Rapyuta ASRS includes a free WMS (Warehouse Management System) that can integrate with your existing systems via API. Using the information registered during the stowing process, the system manages and stores items within the ASRS.
Robots bring bins containing items to be picked, as well as bins for shipping, to picking stations designed for focused work and error prevention. Workers can follow visual guides to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. For manual picking operations, Rapyuta PA-AMR can double productivity with our fleet control AI technology.
Shipping bins can either be dropped off immediately or stored temporarily for sequential drop-off. Typically, after drop-off from the ASRS, tasks such as ledgers or value-added services, packing, and consolidation are performed.
Prepare the items for shipping by palletizing or arranging them for loading onto trucks. Rapyuta AFL, the automated forklift, can also assist with loading items onto trucks during shipping.
